TAHEL™ helipads are helicopter fast deployment landing zones. They have been offering safety for helicopter units on field (FOB, FARP, …) for decades. From Yugoslav wars in the 1990’s, through the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and the ongoing Mali conflict, TAHEL™ helipads are on duty. Mobi-mat® developed the TAHEL™ helipad range in order to avoid the brown-out (and white-out) effect due to sand, dust or snow. They increase the pilots visibility and reduce the helicopter maintenance need.

Safety first
The specific Mobi-mat® 3D technical fabric structure of the TAHEL™ helipads assures the best safety for helicopter crews and ground support equipment teams. The wind permeability of the material allows the rotor wash to be evacuated through the helipad with no risk to blow up the mats. The liquids permeability avoids the water or oil puddles, and keep the area always anti-skid.

TAHEL™ A2X helipad

The TAHEL™ A2X helipad is the original helicopter landing mat developed by Mobi-mat®. It has been used for more than 20 years by the most demanding helicopter units. The TAHEL™ A2X offers durable landing zones for expeditionnay military forces. This lightweight helicopter landing mat is extremely durable and can face the heaviest helicopters like the CH-47 Chinook or the CH-53 Super Stallion. It allows also the heavy truck traffic for replenishment or medical evacuation, even on soft soils.

TAHEL™ LAX helipad

The TAHEL™ LAX helipad is a portable ultralightweight helicopter landing mat developed by Mobi-mat®. It is mainly used by special forces units for temporary landing zones. Portability and compacity are the key features of this fast deployment helipad.  The TAHEL™ LAX helipad is airtransportable with medium helicopters like NH-90 or AS-332 Super Puma. It allows replenishment vehicles traffic.

TAHEL™ UAV helipad

The TAHEL™ UAV helipad is designed in order to set up drones operation dedicated areas. Thanks to the Mobi-mat® experience with helicopter landing mats, the TAHEL™ UAV helipad gathers all advantages for drones operating units. Its specific Mobi-mat® 3D technical fabric material retains dust, sand and snow and avoids all brown-out or white-out effect. Its layout assures the best visibility from the sky and a low signature from the ground. The TAHEL™ UAV helipad can be installed in a few minutes and gives flat and clean area for maintenance and operation, in the sand, the mud, the grass or the snow.

Mobi-mat® helicopter mooring kit

The Mobi-Mat® helicopter mooring kit allows to secure aircraft on the ground against winds and sand storms. Thanks to its specifics high performance DESCHAMPS® ground anchors, the Mobi-Mat® helicopter mooring kit can be used in the most demanding situations. It is very lightweight and can be installed in a few minutes. The Mobi-Mat® helicopter mooring kit avoids heavy concrete blocks use in operation theater, and do not request specific tools or mechanical equipment for its installation. Its modularity enables the use on bare ground or with helicopter landing mats (TAHEL™ A2X, TAHEL™ LAX, TAHEL™ UAV).
